Adam Sandler was born September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York but
raised in New Hampshire. In 1990 he was hired as a writer for SNL, and a year
later he became a cast member. On SNL he was known for moronic characters like
Opera Man and Canteen Boy, and also for his humorous self-written songs such as
"Hanukkah Song" and "Red-Hooded Sweatshirt."
Later Adam had supporting parts
in Coneheads, Airheads, and Mixed Nuts and later starred in
Billy Madison and the hit golf comedy Happy Gilmore. His latest
work, The Wedding Singer, was a romantic comedy co-starring Drew
Barrymore. Aside from movies, Adam has produced several comedy albums including
What the Hell Happened to Me? and What's Your Name?
