Dana Carvey


Dana Carvey was born in Missoula, Montana on April 2, 1955. He pursued stand-up comedy and acting during college in San Francisco, and afterwords received small roles in various movies, plus a sitcom with Mickey Rooney. In 1988 he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live and began the comedic career for which he is most known.
Dana created characters such as the Church Lady, Garth Algar of Wayne's World (co-starring Mike Myers as Wayne), Hans of Hans and Franz (with Kevin Nealon as Franz), and mastered flawless impersonations of George Bush, John Travolta, and other celebrities.
Dana co-starred in both Wayne's World movies with Mike Myers, and made several other movies of his own: Trapped in Paradise, Opportunity Knocks, Road to Wellville, and Clean Slate.
Dana has two sons, Tom & Dex, with his wife Paula. They are currently living in San Francisco.
